In 2008, the Faculty of Law of St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo in partnership with the Faculty of Information Technologies has started an interdisciplinary Master program “Information Technologies in the Judicial System and Public Administration” as a result of a series of research projects on the development of information technologies in justice and the public administration in Bulgaria.
In 2015, in partnership with the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Judicial Council, the European Law Society and Civil Institute, the Faculty of Law of St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo has organized the first conference on E-Justice to encourage the debate between the judiciary authorities, public and private partners on the challenges and good practices in the development of information technologies in justice in Bulgaria. In 2018, the Second International Conference was dedicated to Digitalizations and Artificial Intelligence – Challenges for the Law.
In 2018, the first E-JUSTICE Hackathon was held as part of the conference.
